I'm a hopeless romantic Too tough to manage Watching shadows dance across the ceiling It all started at eighteen The whiskey and daydreams Two for a dollar at the corner store Warm days and sunsets Give me time to reflect Should have ran when I had the chance Its a mess that I've made slurring lines of pathetic poetry Through the void of our lives its all that’s left an that I will agree It’s a mess, and It’s been getting harder to see out though the weeds Times can change and so do needs Staring down the time line Wishing that I could rewind Think I’ll take the long way home Cause Broken glass in the moon light Looks like the sky at night Shows the beauty in things that shatter Started out at eighteen The whiskey and a day dream Two for a dollar at the corner store It’s a mess, that I’ve made slurring lines of pathetic poetry Through the void of our lives its all that’s left an that I will agree It’s a mess, and It’s been getting harder to see out though the weeds The times changed and so have we

Can you feel it comin Feel it comin down Can’t you see it runnin Running me outa town Cuz I was fallin for a while Fallin for your shit Then as time would have it I saw this ain’t worth shit Don’t you remember sayin All those things that you said Cuz I can feel em burnin Burnin a whole in my head And I was thinking for a while Just how nice it could be But as the man comes around He took the blinders off me I don’t really want to Why even try It don’t matter much If it’s wrong or it’s right Cuz every time we do this You always walk out and cry I already told you Quit asking me why Can’t you feel it comin Comin from within Just as the storm clouds covered My mind with sin And I was saying for a while Just how I had it made But as the good times have it They always have to fade I don’t really want to Why even try It don’t matter much If it’s wrong or it’s right Cuz every time we do this You always walk out and cry I already told you Quit asking me why

Headed out to a riverside west Of a town full of heartache Pills swallowed the rest I’ve been thinking of getting out for a while I’ve been dreaming of a place since I was a child And I’m doing it all again Yeah I’m doing it all again Headed out to a place I’ve been City full of liquor had to bury a friend Hiding out from the demons you fight Running free with the wolves in the cover of night And I’m doing it all again Yeah I’m doing it all again Heading out to where the river bends Right on the edge of where the worlds ends City full of heathens that are bathing in their sins I might as well join em Turn out like the rest And your dead set, you got your mind made up And I’m hiding in the sticks and the brush I wonder, when I’ll die All my good friends, race through my mind And I’m doing it all again Doing it all again Doing it all again Hiding from myself

Oblivion 03:04
Up late last night till the break of dawn I found myself I was too far gone Up to no good when I know that’s it’s wrong on my way to Oblivion I’m on my way to oblivion I just didn’t want the night to end Just yet I didn’t want it to become my only friend While I listen to unfamiliar sounds While alone in a quiet house My mind turns to a paranoia It falls into hysteria It falls into hysteria

One of my friends he once Wouldn’t trade the nights that we mostly forget No not for anything No not for anything Wouldn’t trade in my part time job Or hang it all up for a real start For something to cash in on for something to cash in on Even if it meant living by the weekly I’ll throw my life savings all to the rent That we spend to live here That we spend to live here One of my friends he once said Don’t know if I could go on if you were all dead So I’ll have to go before you So I’ll have to go before you Cuz these times that we’re having they’re all gona end Might as well spend them while I’m ahead On a fast line to an early grave On a fast lane to an early grave We’ll stay up real late till the break of dawn Playing the music that we grew up on Doesn’t get any better Doesn’t get any better
