I'm a hopeless romantic
Too tough to manage
Watching shadows dance across the ceiling
It all started at eighteen
The whiskey and daydreams
Two for a dollar at the corner store
Warm days and sunsets
Give me time to reflect
Should have ran when I had the chance
Its a mess that I've made slurring lines of pathetic poetry
Through the void of our lives its all that’s left an that I will agree
It’s a mess, and It’s been getting harder to see out though the weeds
Times can change and so do needs
Staring down the time line
Wishing that I could rewind
Think I’ll take the long way home
Cause Broken glass in the moon light
Looks like the sky at night
Shows the beauty in things that shatter

City full of liquor had to bury a friend
Hiding out from the demons you fight
Running free with the wolves in the cover of night

Right on the edge of where the worlds ends
City full of heathens that are bathing in their sins
I might as well join em
Turn out like the rest
